This session explores how political and executive government can upgrade their capacity to act as more effective Future Makers applying Enhanced Governance of Value Creation practices emerging in the boards of out-performing companies.

We explore the secrets that are enabling some corporate leaders to act as high performance “Masters of their own destiny” in a complex and volatile world – and how it applies to leadership in the executive government and political context.

The norms and principles of The Westminster System and progenitor of modern economics, Adam Smith’s 1776 “The Wealth of Nations” have served us well. But industrial era institutional infrastructure needs a fit-for-purpose upgrade (not replacement), or it will perish.

We are seeing increased complexity and uncertainty of public value, loss of trust in institutions and major parties, and the need for effective agile systemic responses to volatile global change. Leaders need to rely on systems that empower better sharing of post-ideological vision and governance/direction of innovative action. This can be achieved with enhanced practice.
